THE APPROACH

Bridewell engaged Whiteoaks on a 12-month PR campaign to increase the company’s share of voice in the UK and to position the company and team as credible experts in their fields.

The campaign consisted predominantly of thought leadership, drawing on the strong expertise of the Bridewell team to craft opinions on a host of topics including ethical hacking, data breaches, security strategy, national critical infrastructure and compliance and risk. Whiteoaks engaged experts within the Bridewell team – many of whom had not undertaken any PR activity before – working with them to develop content including opinion articles, blogs, feature comments, brochures, and fast action comments in response to breaking news.

Whiteoaks also secured a series of media interview opportunities with key trade and vertical media to build relationships, secure coverage and position the Bridewell team as the go-to experts on security news. The team also supported on wider PR and content initiatives including corporate announcements, brochures and customer case studies.

THE RESULTS

Whiteoaks has greatly enhanced brand awareness for Bridewell through the creation of compelling content, supported by a strong media relations programme. The campaign delivered 52 pieces of coverage including 161 key messages, with over 50% of coverage achieved in gold tier titles. Results exceeded the campaign coverage target by over 30% and key message target by 268%.

Alongside this, Whiteoaks also secured and hosted 16 media interviews – double the campaign target. The team also successfully positioned Bridewell as a key source of comment on latest cyber security news with contacts at trade and nationals now approaching Bridewell for comment on relevant stories.

Content generated as part of the PR campaign has also been used to fuel wider marketing content and video content. including events, eDMs, blogs. Furthermore, members of the Bridewell well team recognise the value in PR and are keen to get involved in further opportunities – a significant shift from the perception and engagement at the start of the campaign.

Bridewell remains an existing client of Whiteoaks and the teams continue to work together to help the company achieve its mission positioning itself as a leader in its field.

Working with Whiteoaks is an absolute pleasure. The team has very much become an extension of ours and they understand who we are as a business and what we want to achieve. The campaign went above and beyond in terms of our expectations and the results delivered. It’s thanks to Whiteoaks that a lot of people now know who Bridewell are and the services we offer.
